Offering the unparalleled charm of a reclaimed, old oak floor, our new Old Wood collection will form the heart of any interior. These super rustic floors, born from a reimagining of the ancient wood floors found in many historic, agrarian buildings, offer a bucolic and elegant aesthetic. Every board is unique, seemingly marked by time and the elements, this superb range of engineered oak flooring, is masterfully created by artisans to show the effect of many years of use and weathering. Once the solid oak planks have been worn, gnarled and discoloured in our unique aging processes, they are sliced into veneers and then stabilised by bonding to a stable engineered base of ply. This produces an authentic looking reclaimed oak floor aesthetic but in a super-stable engineered oak board that can be used in modern installations and with underfloor heating. Every board is cleaned up, finished with a robust oil helping to maintain its original patina and to accentuate the open splits, knots and watermarks typical of ancient oak flooring.
