Pallet Delivery Information
Please click the question below to show the answer.
The delivery charge levied is for our standard, palletised Kerbside delivery service. Goods will be sent palletised on our Palletways network delivery partner and delivered on a curtain sided 18tonne vehicle (see image below) with tail-lift between the hours of 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Our network partners will endeavour to deliver your product to your desired delivery point however this will be at best, on your driveway and only when the driver assesses that it is safe to do so. The contract is for a Kerbside delivery and if there are any obstructions or hazards preventing this from happening this may necessitate the product being delivered to where the vehicle can safely access. Please watch this video from Palletways which perfectly describes this delivery service.
The driver will not unpack pallets nor assist in carrying product into or onto your property.
You or your representative must be on site to take delivery of the product when it is tendered for delivery.
For sites with difficult locations or access we do have alternative delivery options available at a further charge depending on your location. We advise not placing your order via our website until you have spoken to one of our customer support staff if you believe the standard delivery vehicle will not work based on your conditions.
If you do proceed with the standard delivery and the driver is unable to gain access to your property or site, then your product will be returned to the nearest depot. We will then work with you to either re-deliver on a more appropriate vehicle if the depot has access to one (this will be charged for and may be up to 48hours later), re-deliver to a point with better access (again this will be charged for) or direct you to collect the product from the delivery depot yourself.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OAK FLOORING DELIVERIES: this will be a kerbside delivery. You will need 2persons on site to manually unload the pallet at time of delivery. You cannot expect the delivery driver to help - they are not contracted to do so.
