Salvage is a superb collection of authentically hand-aged engineered oak planks. Conceived and designed for the client who desires the integrity of an antique aged appearance, textured & undulating surfaces suggest the passage of time and irregular, individually distressed edges, some worn & broken, hint at a previous life. Salvage oak range has a textured surface from the raised knots & splits, suggesting the wear and tear an oak floor would sustain over time. Oak splits, chisel & saw marks remain featured as a result of the artisanal hand work on the surface of each plank.
Every plank is considered, evaluated and historically aged by hand using traditional hand tools and a deep understanding of the nature of oak. Salvage is a range thoughtfully and uniquely hand finished by a craftsperson resulting in this historically authentic stable engineered oak floor. Deliberately distressed edges produced by an in-house developed hand roller and steel comb variable hand brushing, result in techniques that combine to highlight the natural beauty of the natural wood grain, creating a beautiful, textured appearance. The result is a stunning authentically hand-aged oak flooring collection embodying the seduction of a reclaimed aesthetic but within a stable, engineered oak floor.
Each colour option in the Salvage collection comes in the same plank size of 1900mm x 190mm x 15mm (4mm solid oak surface and 11mm ply back) and at just £45sqm+VAT and delivery, represents remarkable value for an antiqued, hand-aged board.
