Sumptuous aged & smoked engineered oak flooring in a beautiful roasted latte colour. This stunning floor, with knots and brushed grain highlighting the natural characteristics of the oak, is at home in both classically styled interiors and more modern schemes. Our Old Coffee antiqued and aged oak flooring offers authenticity and originality. Beautifully finished, the textures and colours weave their way throughout each individual plank, seamlessly connecting to create a majestic flow across the floor. Old Coffee is a warm, dark honey-hued oak with a vintage look.
This timeless oak floor, characterized by the wonderful dark grain running through the wood, creates a traditional looking oak floor full of warmth and charm. Old Coffee is smoked and gently hand-aged by artisans to give a subtle, worn-in look with hand-bevelled distressed edges, it is eminently practical, easy to maintain and quite simply gorgeous. This engineered oak floor is finished with a very light brushed texture to the face of the planks adding to the timeless look.
Old Coffee oak flooring has gone through many sympathetic, controlled, hand-aging processes to produce a timeworn looking oak making it a fabulous choice for a variety of projects. With abundant dark grain and other highlighted natural oak features, Old Coffee is a breathtaking oak floor that is easily paired with any colour scheme. The attention to detail and unique highlighted grain patterning makes this engineered oak flooring a stylish addition to any area of your home.
Design Tip: Consider combining the two widths to create a classic mixed width pattern adding even more personality to this beautiful oak floor.

Technical | |
Finishing Oil | UV Oiled |
Grade | NATURAL GRADE: Natural Grade wood (also known as Character Grade) flooring will include both heartwood and sapwood. It is an affordable and attractive option that is full of character. Natural grade allows a wider range of colour variation, knots are larger and there will be incidents of checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used. |
Glue-Down | We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply. |
Floating | Glue-down method is not appropriate for sub-floors that are damp, are mixed i.e. timber subfloor combined with concrete/screed sub-floor or have specific requirements such as acoustic deadening. With sub-floors of this type the Floating installation method will likely be proposed by your installer. The boards are not fixed to the sub-floor but instead uses the weight of the floor itself to keep them in place, usually with the use of an underlay between the sub-floor and boards. The tongue & groove would normally be glued in a floating installation. NB: Beswick stone do not provide underlay, glue or any other wood installation product. |
Herringbone / Parquet Installation Points | Engineered Herringbone Oak Flooring cannot be floated over an underlay. The planks must be solidly attached (Glue-down method) to the sub-floor using an appropriate adhesive. |
Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
Cleaning | The Bona Premium Spray Mop for Oiled Wood Floor is the easiest and most effective way of cleaning oiled wood floors in the home. Simply spray and wipe the floor clean. It cleans and nourishes your oiled wood floor while providing extra protection. |
