Cotswold stone is a wonderful, ancient building stone and
the true Cotswold quarries produce a gorgeous coloured stone that ranges from
Buff to Cream right through to Orange and Gold. Whilst traditionally used for
floors; the demands of modern living and price make this local limestone a
difficult proposition - it is expensive, soft and difficult to calibrate. Enter
our stunning Cirencester Gold limestone. This real limestone flagstone is a completely
different geology, has all the colours and character you’d see in real Cotswold
stone but none of the drawbacks. It is extremely hard-wearing, dense enough for very heavy footfall areas and strong enough to be calibrated to a thickness making it
ideal for use with underfloor heating. With colours and look reflective of traditional
Cotswold flagstones, these honey-hued limestone floor tiles will add old-world
charm to your interior. They’re aged by hand, so each stone has a uniquely
textured surface. One of our best-selling products, this much-loved flooring
replicates the look and feel of the warmer, golden North Cotswold flagstones –
but at an unbeatable price. For that distinctive Cotswold look, lay these warm
and mellow-toned tiles in a staggered pattern. Whilst Cirencester Gold doesn't have a dedicated step tread available, our Castile step tread perfectly compliments this stone.
